Leandro,

Yes, you are right: you should have generated 2 groups of scrambles, one for each attempt of MBLD.

This seems strictly better too, as it's easier to keep track of who has seen which scrambles.

We're in the process of writing some guidelines for generating scrambles to avoid these kinds of issues.

We are? That's exciting =). Where's this happening?

Please send us the original Excel workbook and TNoodle scrambles so that we can fix this on our side and properly import the scrambles.

Regards,
Lars

Subject: Question on the Workbook Assistance 2.0

Hello all,

I just finished reviewing the results for Oficina Open 2014 (my first competition as delegate) and I was preparing the json file to send to the results team.

However, it showed me one error. On MultiBLD, it requires 2 groups, and I only have one.

When using TNoodle, I generated one group with a lot of scrambles, and for the people that tried more than once, I just continued.
For example, if CompetitorA tried 4 cubes in each attempt, I would send scrambles 1~4 for the first attempt and 5~8 for the second.
I asked all judges to write the # of cubes in the scorecard, even on DNFs, and with only 6 competitors it was easy to control that (I was just scrambling/watching this event).

Now I understand that each attempt must be a group in TNoodle (or is that not correct?)

Anyway, I generated two jsons.
1- The real results, WCA Workbook Assistance allowed me to create the file after showing a warning that I had a problem with mbld
2- I created a dummy mbld on TNoodle and added as new group. This fixed the warning. The name for the new scramble is quite suggestive: "Not used in Oficina".

Should I send one of these or is there another solution?

I copied the delegates list in case someone from there also knows the answer.

Thank you very much in advance,
Leandro
