Dear Fellow Walkers and Bikers:

Please take time tomorrow evening to attend the open house for the Ann Arbor Roadway Rightsizing (A2R2) project.  This is your chance to share your opinion about how Ann Arbor should reconfigure streets and improve safety.

We have seen how reconfigurations like S. Main benefit all users by slowing traffic and curtailing dangerous driving.  City staff and their consultants need to hear from each of you that safety improvements must be their primary focus.  We need courageous proposals to redesign our worst streets for safer, slower, and smoother traffic.  Opponents will be vocal about keeping dangerously fast multilane streets, so we must be there to counter the tired old narrative that safer designs will unduly hinder vehicle throughput.

Join me and other advocates tomorrow, Wednesday 12/10.  We will gather at Conor O'Neill's at 4:45 PM and head to the open house at the Downtown AADL at 5:30 PM.

Thanks

Peter Houk

And since you're promoting, I might as well post this along with it from See Click Fix this evening.  There's only one on demand flashing crossing on this entire section of Platt Road, South of Packard.  But Hey!... It's just us low income SE Quadrant people of A2, which means it doesn't matter.
