🏆 Big Wins for Local Advocacy

We’re thrilled to congratulate our partner organization, The Bicycle Alliance of Washtenaw County, for being named the 2025 Advocacy Organization of the Year!

Even more exciting, Nate Phipps of the Bicycle Alliance has been awarded the 2025 Tara Gluski Changemaker of the Year!

🎉 These awards will be presented at Bicycle & Trail Advocacy Day on May 13, 2025.

🚧 Projects That Need Your Voice

There are two important upcoming projects that could benefit from community input:

📍 State Street Improvements (William to South University) (🔗)

Proposed changes include protected bike lanes, raised mid-block crosswalks, and the removal of on-street parking. At our last board meeting, we discussed the potential benefits of closing this corridor to private vehicles entirely—improving safety and transit efficiency.

📍 Washtenaw Ave (I-94BL) – E. Main St. to E. Stadium Blvd (🔗)

Repaving is scheduled for 2026 (per MDOT plans), presenting a key opportunity to push for safety upgrades. Let’s ensure this corridor better serves all community members, especially those who walk or bike.
