Dear All,
Fibonacci is the annual magazine of the Students’ Forum for Free/Open Source Software running under Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior. This is being released in association with SUN Microsystems and National Resource Center FOSS.
For the same, we request you to kindly submit articles as a contribution in our endeavor to increase awareness about various issues of Open Source.
There are no publication charges for the magazine. Also please help us in the promotion of the magazine by forwarding this mail to your colleagues and other people.

Last date of submission of articles is 15th June, 2009.

The magazine aims at:
* Spread awareness about Open Source Software and the Politics of Openness among college students.
* Provide technical knowledge for those working in engineering and technical sectors.
* Provide a forum for launching and describing international open source initiatives
* To cultivate interest of students towards Software Development through Open Sourcing
* Inculcate and support the ethics and philosophy of Open Source.
The magazine would be released under Creative Commons “Attribution, Share-alike”. Share it, pass it, redistribute it and feel the real charm of Open Source.
The magazine may be treated as any other technical/non-technical magazine and the articles of this magazine may be cited in the same
way. The magazine has no objection in presentation of summarized published work, or in the publication of extended versions of the submitted articles at any other place, as long as the other publisher has no objections.
Fibonacci aims in providing a common platform from all sections of the society and become a means of collaboration for the end-to-end issues of FOSS. The magazine would showcase all sorts of people from students to professional developers. The magazine would be an instrumental tool for the spreading awareness about all aspects of the Global Movement and development of new models by their coexistence.
Scope:
People are requested to contribute their articles related to but not restricted to the following categories.
