"Good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise," I will be making a return to the radio this Wednesday, July 26th. A local community station, WOVV 90.1 in Ocracoke, NC, lets me come in and play free-form DJ when I'm here on Cape Hatteras. I expect to occupy a couple of hours or so between perhaps 2 and 5 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, playing anything and everything in music - rock, country, doo-wop, new indie tracks, international sounds from Canada and Sweden among other countries, and the debut of a track from a new solo project I'm working on. In addition to the local signal, they stream at
www.wovv.org.
For those who don't know, Ocracoke is an isolated fishing village on a beautiful island that has also become a hip tourist destination; a friend here calls it "the Key West of the Outer Banks." Credit where due, there is an inordinate amount of talent and creativity for a town its size, and it's always fun to be there. Tune in if you can!
