Hi, radio family and friends,
Damn, it's hard letting a dream go, but this Monday will be the last Record Room for at least a while - best listening:
www.wovv.org (NOT .rocks, although that's the active website). Unfortunately, my fight against cancer has to take precedence over everything, and my voice and energy level aren't where I'd prefer them. I start a new round of radiation therapy tomorrow followed by a new infusion monthly. Hopefully, it will all work, and I am not giving up hope, just the show for (only) a while.
Good news: my friend Dave Sica. who engineered our ancient Benefit Street/American Dream tapes back to life, will archive everything I've done for the station; info soon. (And there's a Benefit street song in the show, too.)
This last one was very personal and very sad but satisfying to complete; it has been such fun therapy and given me so much artistic satisfaction. Much of the music is really obscure and widespread over the years; if you tune it, I hope you enjoy it - it all means more than just the records to me.
Looking forward,
Paul
(PS to Denise and Ron in NJ: I only have your e-mails. Please spread the word if you wish to.)
