Volunteers needed for Rise Up: Federal Workers Defense Legal Network

Hi all – I joined this list as I was about to close my family law practice a few years ago so have not participated in these conversations.  However, remaining on the list I see that, of course, this is a group of smart and caring women like my Attorney Roundtable network out in the Concord-Acton area that I know some of you are in, too, so I thought you might be interested in a new volunteer lawyer opportunity to help fired federal workers: Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network.  https://workerslegaldefense.org/  I was so excited to learn about this that I just returned to BBO Active status to participate.

 

Attorneys are needed for two things – 15 minute screening calls and actual legal consultations.  Since I know nothing about federal employment law, I am doing the screening calls for now – easy, quick, satisfying and very important!  Work in both these areas is desperately needed and volunteers must have an active Bar membership in their state.
