Role: Senior Business Systems Analyst – NextGen Program
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid) - 3 times a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Note: Need someone senior with great communication skills for this role.
Strategic Planning, Requirements & Modeling
- Elicit, document, and refine functional and non-functional requirements using a use case–driven methodology in agile/SCRUM environments.
- Use Enterprise Architect (EA) and Miro to create and maintain domain models, capability swimlanes, data dictionaries, and system
- interaction diagrams.
- Map business processes to service boundaries and assist in identifying reusable business logic across programs.
- Drive MVP planning and milestone deliverables with clearly scoped features, documented dependencies, and defined acceptance criteria.
System Integration Documentation & Design
- Translate business needs into structured workflows, logic rules, and business-level technical requirements for modular services.
- Define and document integration payloads and dialect expectations (e.g., JSON, XML) to support API design—without implementing or
- coding endpoints.
- Ensure integration points and service interfaces are accurately reflected in EA models and related documentation.
Automation & SDLC Enablement
- Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives) to support backlog grooming and delivery cadence.
- Collaborate with QA and automation engineers to ensure testability and traceability using tools like Tosca or UiPath.
- Align EA models, Jira stories, and Confluence documentation to ensure full lifecycle traceability.
Audit, Controls & Governance
- Document system behavior and business logic in alignment with SOX and FINSIG IT control frameworks.
- Support internal and external audit walkthroughs by maintaining traceability between business rules, requirements, and test cases.
- Define metadata-driven rule structures to ensure reusability and transparency of calculations.
Communication & Reporting
- Deliver high-quality artifacts: process flows, capability diagrams, decision tables, integration specs, and glossary documentation.
- Communicate proactively with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to resolve ambiguities and reduce delivery risk.
- Contribute to milestone planning visuals and progress summaries for leadership and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s preferred.
