Subject: Configuration and Access Issues with Wazuh and

I am writing to inform you about the challenges I have encountered while configuring Wazuh and accessing the dashboard. Despite several attempts, I have been unable to configure Wazuh to be accessible from my network, and changing the IP address in the configuration files did not yield the desired results. I have mention that i'am running my wazuh on  my workstation VM using ubuntu. Any assistance or guidance you can provide to help resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention and support.

Dear Team.Thank you for contacting Wazuh. For you to be able to accessible outside your VM, you need to change the default configuration from the loopback address to the exact IP address where your Wazuh-dashboard or Kibana is installed:
  • For Kibana, kindly edit the "/etc/kibana/kibana.yml" file and change the loopback address to the exact address of the Kibana server.
  • Restart the service by running the command: systemctl restart kibana
  • For Wazuh-dashboard, edit the "/etc/wazuh-dashboard/opensearch_dashboards.yml" file and also change the loopback address to the exact address of the Wazuh-dashboard server.
  • Restart the service by running the command: systemctl restart wazuh-dashboard.
  • Also from experience, make sure that port 443 is opened on the server where your wazuh-dashboard or kibana is installed for you to be able to access the web user interface.
