New user for Wazuh Dashboard

Hi Team, 

How do we add a new user for wazuh dashboard ? 

What is the difference between wazuh dashboard and kibana dashboard ?

Hi Parjav. First of all, thanks for contacting us and using wazuh.
I gonna try to omit all the details of the history of these products because is extensive.

1. Wazuh dashboard is based on OpenSearch dashboard. That means we have all the same features as OpenSearch dashboards but with our branding. Exactly, the latest version of wazuh dashboard is based on OpenSearch 2.4.0 version.
   
2. You will ask yourself, what is an OpenSearch dashboard? To answer this question we need to mention Elasticsearch (Kibana dashboard). Elasticsearch was created first and it become one of the first open-source search engines. When Elastic grew in terms of popularity they released some enhancements under their own ‘source available’ license, the ‘Elastic license’. This license was not an approved Open Source license. Because of that Amazon and another company decides to create their search engine service based on Elasticsearch (7.10.2) and called Opendistro later renamed to OpenSearch.
   Actually, Currently, ElasticSearch (kibana) and OpenSearch (Wazuh dashboard) are 2 separate products and differ a little bit in terms of design but they have the same core.
   
   Currently the latest version of ElasticSearch: 8.6.2
   Currently the latest version of OpenSearch: 2.6.0
   Wazuh dashboard latest version is based on OS 2.4.0. We work to make our dashboard versions compatible with the latest version of the OpenSearch dashboard.

I leave you an official doc that explains how to manage our RBAC (Role Based Access Control). I suggest you read it first and then try to make the configuration.
