Looking for information on the size of my AWS Instance. I noticed that the AMI recommends a c5.2xlarge -- this would probably be a little overkill for what I'm trying to achieve. I have a max of 25 endpoints ill be monitoring.

Hi Andre.
As the documentation says the minimum requirements for an All-in-one deployment are 4GB of RAM and 2CPUs and the recommended ones are 16GB of RAM and 8CPUs. I recommend to take advantage of the cloud service and use an on demand instance with the minimum requirements and if it is not enough, change the type to a bigger one.

Regards.
Gonzalo.

Thanks... Yes, I did read the documentation.

What would be the answer if I was building this on-prem? (Which could also be an option for us in the future)

minimum requirements by itself means nothing without context. If I have 1 million endpoints I wouldn't suggest a minimum requirement of 4 GB and 2 CPUs...how many endpoints would that handle? And the the opposite for recommending 8 CPU's for someone who's monitoring 10 instances.

Thanks again,

Andrew

I did see this in the docs"

" A typical use case for this kind of environment supports around 100 agents."

So if minimum requirements for 100 agents is 4GB and 2CPU's I think I'll have to believe that that will be more than enough for only 25.

Thanks,
