Hi All,
I am planning to upgrade my Wazuh instance currently running version 4.2.5 to 4.7.

I found these steps from documentation for the upgrading process.
I have a lot data in elastic search right now. I don't want to lose my data or stop my instance while doing the upgrade. (I need the data send to Wazuh manager to be fetched while doing the upgrading). Please suggest appropriate steps for upgrading Wazuh to the latest version without losing data.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Muhammad Farash P

Hello Muhammad Farash. Thank you for using Wazuh!

Indeed, if you want to upgrade Wazuh from version 4.2.5, you should follow step by step the links you have sent without worrying about losing your data as they are processes from the official Wazuh documentation, and as such they are totally reliable, and their correct follow-up is guaranteed. In addition, you should also bear in mind that it is always advisable to make backups of your data before carrying out such processes, so you should save the data you want to keep before upgrading. You can also visit this page for wazuh backups: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/migration-guide/files-backup/index.html

Best regards!

Hello Muhammad Farash.

To perform a backup you will have to copy all the data you want to keep or the data you think is most important to any backup device, be it an external storage device, your own computer, etc. Once you have them saved correctly, you can start the process by following the links you mentioned at the beginning of the thread: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/migration-guide/wazuh-indexer.html#migrating-to-the-wazuh-indexer and https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/migration-guide/wazuh-dashboard.html, and you will get Wazuh upgraded.

Best regards!
