Wazuh dashboard installation issue

Hi Team,

I am trying to install wazuh in a distributed mode, each central component in a different server. I could able to successfully install the wazuh indexer and server. During the wazuh dashboard installation, i am following the installation using a installation assistant in ubuntu 22.x in a VM, I could able to see, that opensearch_dashboards.yml file is not been created and because of which the installation fails. I have tried more than 10 times. Can you please help me in completing this installation.

Note: I have copied the configuration file(.tar) in my current working directory. please find below the logs from /var/log/wazuh-install.log

I can see that the wazuh-dashboard directories are not created correctly, so please try to follow this documentation in order to achieve the installation: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/installation-guide/wazuh-dashboard/step-by-step.html

Hi Harshal,

Thanks for your quick turnaround. I also have another doubt. I have tried my server and indexer installation via installation assistant, when i try the dashboard installation with the suggested step by step guide there is a option to create the certificates which was not done when i performed the installation with the assistant for wazuh indexer and server.

Also, when i tried again with the installation assistant to install wazuh dashboard. This time the directories are created properly, but i got a error message stating "cannot connect to wazuh dashboard". how to get this fixed?

Hi Harshal,

you can ignore the above mail. I found the issue, it was because the dashboard VM couldnt able to connect to the indexer VM. I altered the firewall rules and now it is working fine,
