Configuration of notification email in wazuh

Hope you'e doing well

I try to configure smtp in wazuh by using the officiel guide of wazuh https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/user-manual/manager/manual-email-report/smtp-authentication.html

i create a new boite email with password i use his password in  echo [smtp.gmail.com]:587 USER...@gmail.com:PASSWORD > /etc/postfix/sasl_passwd

but still cant get anythings when i use the the command  echo "Test mail from postfix" | mail -s "Test Postfix" -r "y...@example.com" y...@example.com

can anyone assist me to configure the smtp notification ?

Hi There!

We are currently in the process of reviewing your linked documentation article, since it doesn't account for the initial setup wizard some distributions will run on the postfix package.

Now, for gmail accounts, you usually need to set up an App Password, since gmail forces MFA on regular logins these days, and you cannot use MFA with postfix:

Once you have created the app password, you can go back to step 3 of the guide.
