Hello,

For now, the only way to change the path of your installation directory is to install Wazuh manager from sources. Using this method will give you the opportunity to set the installation path to another one rather than the default /var/ossec path. You can check the below link for further details:
I hope this provided clarity. If you have any other query, do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards.

Let me explain, I want my indexer, manager and dashboard to be in another directory that is on my other disk so that my OS is unique and my disk is 1

Hello,

From your query, it seems you want to change the default directory when installing Wazuh components? Kindly let me know if otherwise.

If that is what you're asking, as stated earlier, the only component which you can change it's default path is Wazuh manager when you're installing from sources, this also applies to when you're using a distributed deployment approach. All other components (Wazuh indexer and Wazuh dashboard) will be installed in the default directory as that cannot be changed at the moment.

If I may ask, is there any specific reason why you want to change the path?

We remain attentive to your queries.

Best regards.

Hello, thank you for your answer, the reason for changing the installation path is because I have 2 disks on my Ubuntu server and I want the indexer and manager logs to go to the second disk, I have found some guides that have helped me, it would be helpful Great help if you check these resources and tell me if I have done right.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response and thanks for providing more clarification to your query.

From your response, it seems you have followed the links you provided as guide in moving the logs. Did you encounter any challenge or issue along the line? I'll also try to replicate it in my lab and revert.

Will be expecting your feedback.

Best regards.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response.

I was able to follow this link to move logs of my Wazuh components from the default path to another path, and everything is working fine as it should. So you should be fine from your end.

I hope this helps. If you have any other query, do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards.
