Hello Wazuh community!
I am trying to generate security events report in a wazuh version 4.4.5 instance. However, I keep getting the below prompt:
Error creating the report
5029 - Reporting was aborted - no such file or directory
createError@https://redacted/44502/bundles/plugin/wazuh/wazuh.plugin.js:2:28658
settle@https://redacted/44502/bundles/plugin/wazuh/wazuh.plugin.js:8:19613
onloadend@https://redacted/44502/bundles/plugin/wazuh/wazuh.plugin.js:2:26457
I have checked the community and can't seem to find related issues I can reference to resolve this.
As part of our process, we use the report generation feature to spool weekly and daily reports for security events on agents and endpoints onboarded on wazuh for compliance with ISO 27001, PCIDSS and other regulatory requirements. What workaround is there to this report generation please in order to rectify this issue.
I have also attached a screenshot of the prompt for better analysis.
Best regards,

Hello Funto!

I'd need more information to troubleshoot your problem

Could you please send me the following information?

- The app logs. Available through the UI, in the Settings > Logs section of the Wazuh plugin
- The full request failing. For that, please open the browser's dev tools, click on the Network tab and reproduce the error. A request will be marked in red. Please share with me the request's URL and the response

Regards
Alex

Hello again!

Does this problem happen only in this section of the app? Or does it happen in other sections too?

Hello Alejandro,

To answer your question, yes, the problem happens in all section that has a report generation feature.

Hi again!

I believe this could be related to incorrect permissions in the folder where the reports are stored. Could you please check that?

ls -l /usr/share/wazuh-dashboard/data/wazuh/downloads/reports/

Each UI user has a unique directory assigned withing this path. For example, in my case:

/usr/share/wazuh-dashboard/data/wazuh/downloads/reports/21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3

Check these paths too. Expected user and group should be wazuh-dashboard
