Correct owner and permissions for the directory /var/ossec/

Hi everyone, good afternoon.

I made a mistake and changed the Owner and permissions of the directory
/var/ossec/.

Could someone tell me what the correct settings are?

I'm using Ubuntu and I did the installation from here: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/installation-guide/index.html

Everything is on the same server. Thanks!!!

Hello Farah,

The ossec folder permissions contain ownership of root:wazuh with mod 750. Please see attached for reference.

chmod 750 /var/ossec
chown root:wazuh /var/ossec
