Hello to all Wazuh lovers!
I know that Wazuh and other free and/or commercial products do excellent file integrity monitoring and auditing of Windows File Servers.
I wanted to know if there are any good decoders to do the same thing with QNAP NAS drives.

Hi Tech Master,

Thanks for using Wazuh!!

You could create custom rules and decoders to monitoring any devices. You only need a way to forward logs to the Wazuh manager.

Please refer to this documentation about custom rules:

https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/user-manual/ruleset/custom.html
https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/user-manual/ruleset/ruleset-xml-syntax/rules.html
Testing decoders and ruleshttps://documentation.wazuh.com/current/user-manual/ruleset/testing.html

- Blog posthttps://wazuh.com/blog/creating-decoders-and-rules-from-scratch/
- Community videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZaUgxq-j9c

- You could ask QNAP customer service about the system logs files location, and ways to read/forward them. https://service.qnap.com

I hope this help.
Regards

Hello,
I understand that at the moment there are therefore no predefined decoders for QNAP.
Thank you
