Upgrading Wazuh 4.0.3 to the most recent

Hello

I have Wazuh APP 4.0.3 rev 4014 with elasticsearch-oss.x86_64 7.9.1-1 opendistroforelasticsearch.noarch 1.11.0-1 in All in One installation in a Red Hat instance.

I tried to upgrade it to the most recent version using this documentation https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/upgrade-guide/elasticsearch-kibana-filebeat/upgrading-open-distro.html

But I got stuck in the Kibana, the server was not ready and not more advances. Elasticsearch boot up but Kibana not.

Then someone in wazuh discord says that its a migration https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/migration-guide/wazuh-dashboard.html#migrating-to-the-wazuh-dashboard now i am confused.

Is there a guide to upgrade the wazuh 4.0.3 to the most recent step by step or I am need to do the upgrade and migration at the same time?

If you want to continue using Elasticsearch in your environment, I think the guide that you might find useful is

It is not clear to me yet why you have these two packages in the same instance.

Regarding Kibana, in order to help you solve this problem, can you share the configuration and the log?

Hi Mike,

as indicated by Franco,  as stated in the documentation the upgrade process varies depending on the stack you are working with. It is for that reason that different guides are provided for upgrading Wazuh. In your case since you are currently using v4.0.3, you should use the upgrade guide from Open Distro For Elasticsearch.

If you try to upgrade with that guide and you get any errors during the process we will be glad to analyze the problem.
