  Hello Jomark Bancale,

  Sorry for the late response.

Can you give us some more details?

Are you using Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Wazuh indexer? Which version?

Could you provide us with a step-by-step configuration so that we may try to replicate the error?

Also, it would be very useful if you can check the browser dev tools, in particular the Network tab to be able to check where the error happens and the specific output.

Please keep us updated to debug the issue.

  Best regards,
  Mayte Ariza

Hi Mayte Ariza,

Using the OVA file, I set up my Wazuh environment in a virtual ESXi. check this link: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/deployment-options/virtual-machine/virtual-machine.html

And my Wazuh version is v4.4.2 and it's running with OpenSearch.

I have installed Postfix mail_version = 2.10.1 as a server relay to send emails. And my configuration is successful based on the test email that I have performed.

However, when I try to create a channel in the dashboard all of my test emails are failed.

Channel type: Email
Sender type: SMTP sender
SMTP sender: my email address + smtp.gmail.com + SSL

I hope this information helps.

Thank you!

Hi Jomark Bancale,

Could you check the browser dev tools, in particular the Network tab to review the error?

I have not been able to reproduce the error.

The output may be very useful for debugging the issue. Please, share it with us.

Keep us updated.

Best regards,
Mayte Ariza

 Hi Jomark,

 Sorry for the late response.

Yes, I was referring to the console you shared in the last message.

I have been able to replicate the error. I discussed it with the team, but since it is a default plugin from OpenSearch they don't know what could be the error.

I created a new topic in the OpenSearch forum detailing the error. You may find it here: Notifications channels - Failed to send the test message - unknown error

I will follow up on the topic to update it if necessary.

 Best regards,
 Mayte Ariza
