I tried to install wazuh agent using Wazuh source (Wazuh-3.3.1.tar.gz).

The file is untar succesfuly, but when I ran the install.sh script, send a message “Permission denied”

I changed the permissions for the script using chmod 666 and chmod 777

I used ROOT user for the installation

OS: CentOS 6.8

There are (apparently) new  prerequisites for 'install from sources'.

I'm using install from sources on a raspberry pi; I got the same error from install.sh until I ran the prerequisite command "for Debian-based distributions" from the "install from sources" page.

Despite having originally installed from sources, and successfully upgraded several times, the prerequisites command installed 33 new packages.  After "apt" finished, "install.sh" ran to completion.

In your case of course you'd use the "RPM-based distributions" command:
# yum install make gcc policycoreutils-python automake autoconf libtool

Is it feasible to add a "prerequisites" target so that "make prerequisites" would identify the proper package tool (yum vs apt) and run the appropriate command to install the required prerequisites?

Or, is it possible to build this into 'install.sh'?

Most of the time nothing would be installed, as the prerequisites don't change very often...

My concern is that it will always be disconcerting to get an error when installing updates, and many users may not immediately think to check the "install from sources" page for update instruction.

Ok.

The system must be updated but still send the same message:
