Hi Wazuh & Community Team,

I had installed Wazuh Server many times from v4.7 and v4.8 and I've never experiencing this kind of error when I tried to install using All-in-One Server Installation on v4.9.0.

The error shows this:

I've set my config.yml with a correct IP and I'm pretty sure its not a public IP.

Is there anything I might missed? Need help.

Thank you.

Hi Rivergy

I have tested this and it is working fine with private Ip address:

Please make sure you are using the private ip instead of public ip .
The validation to use private IPs is based on the fact that all the core components should communicate through a private network for security (not exposing APIs/servers to the Internet) and performance (having low latency when using a private network) reasons.using Public Ip could lead to more significant issues such as exposing services to the public internet or running with an invalid configuration, leading to downtime or security breaches.
To know about ips please refer to https://www.meridianoutpost.com/resources/articles/IP-classes.php

In case you still face the issue please share the Ip and /var/log/wazuh-install.log

Hope this helps

I had the same problem installing Wazuh 4.12
Since I'm sure it's not a public IP, I edited the wazuh-install.sh file on the line of code that validates IP address, changing the exit from 1 to 0 (line 4227).

The error persists, but so does the installation.
