Hello,

I'm trying to deploy the wazuh agent on some Windows Server 2003 using the command line running the following command:

wazuh-agent-3.2.0-1.msi /q ADDRESS="wazuh-server-ip" AUTHD_SERVER="wazuh-server-ip"

It works without problem on Windows server 2008 or higher, but in Windows server 2003 I got a Access Denied message, I tried running msiexc wazuh-agent-3.2.0-1.msi, but it also did not work.

Does this msi works on Windows server 2003? Am I missing something?

Hi Leandro,

we have installed the same msi package on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise without a problem, with graphical mode and with the same terminal command that you posted.

Have you checked that you have privileges to install software on your machine?

Best regards.

Hello,

Yes, We have privileges, but it does not install and does not give any error, just got stuck.

We tried using misexec in front of the command, but without any success.

In Windows 2008 it works fine, what else We need to check?

I just looked the compatibility matrix and it says that the agent is not Compatible with Windows Server 2003.

How do you guys have it running on Windows Server 2003?

Hi Leandro,

there is a typo in the documentation, it saysWindows XP 2003 or newer when it is meant to say (Windows Server 2003).We are going to fix it.

Could you please try to install it from the terminal running the following command as Administrator:

wazuh-agent-3.2.0-1.msi ADDRESS="wazuh-server-ip" AUTHD_SERVER="wazuh-server-ip" /l*v C:\installer.log

Then you can post here the output of the log.

Best regards.
