Hello WAZUH TEAM.
I have a problem.

After i install the wazuh-indexer, the file config.yml is delete.
1) Why is it happening?
2) If i want to add some new featuring like new indexer, what should i do?

NB: I'm following the methods of the assistant configuration.
Regards

Hi taddee,

This is the expected behavior when performing the assistant configuration. This thread explains what to do if you want to deploy another node.

If it's your first installation and you want to test the environment quickly I recommend you the quickstart option. This option will perform an installation of indexer, server and dashboard on the same machine. It will generate a wazuh-install-files.tar file containing the mentioned certificates in the thread above to add another node later.

Hope it helps,

Regards,

Manuel.

Hi taddee,

I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. If you want to do it with the assistant option you'll need to download the config.yml again, modify it with the new indexer nodes data and rerun the wazuh-install.sh script, as shown in this link.

For the server case, you can do it with the assistant too. You'll need to modify the previously downloaded config.yml and run the  wazuh-install.sh script to install the new server nodes as it's referred to in the documentation.

Let me know if it helped you!

Regards,

Manuel.

Hello Wazuh team,
Thanks for your reaction,
But after i have read the document on the cluster, i have an interrogation.
On the document the said that will should run a command aand after that the rootCa certificate will disapear.
Where shall we run this command: on the existent node or on the new node or on all of them?
Regards
Taddee

Hi taddee,

Sorry for my late response.
In case you want to add more nodes you should save the root certificate you first created. If you did not save it, you should create new certificates for all the nodes, even the first ones you had already working.

Regards,

Manuel.
