Well this is a shit show. I'm sitting in a razer chair on a razer floor mat looking at a pile of plastic devices with razer logos on em beeping, disconnecting, and otherwise failing to work. Headset disconnecting, mouse says 0% battery and fails to respond, keyboard works but the lighting is stuck on spectrum cycling. It's a clown job and the 1 day I have off this week I want to use my pc, I'm fighting razer plastic products and their mess of a software. I even have the strider mouse mat. Everythibg is razer and it's about to go in thr garbage can and I'll happily buy corsair.

so for context i have a blackwidow v3 and i made a profile that just highlighted the game buttons and id like to have it so it changes to that if i go into the gaming mode but it stays normal when the option is off

I am trying to get Chroma Studio to link to a program that isn't in the pregenerated, "Select a Game" list. The, "Don't see your game? Add" button is grayed out, and it says "Game Scan in Progress." forever. I tried going into services and temporarily disabling the game scan service but I can't seem to interrupt it without a complete loss of the entire synapse drivers. I'm hoping somebody can tell me how to manually add an application to the list in Synapse, Studio, specifically. The program I'm trying to add is "Ableton Live 11 Suite", more specifically, trying to get synapse to switch to a Chroma Studio profile automatically. The game scan service is going forever and I am at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. I have tons of other games and applications linked

First off, just want to say that I've spent a long time googling around but haven't found a resolution to this problem yet. I currently have 3 profiles - one linked to Modern Warfare, one linked to Kovaaks (game), and one that I want to be active all of the rest of the time.

- I then figured the Kovaaks profile is special somehow, so I unbound the game from the profile and changed the name and settings of the Kovaaks profile to be my new default. Then I changed the name and settings of the default profile to work for Kovaaks. After these changes, Synapse now defaults to my Modern Warfare profile for everything.

Synapse 3 has been laggy with profile switching since day 1. Measuring it, and it's always a consistent 0.9 seconds or 54 frames in a 60fps video. I've opened up a case at the very day I bought the product and that ticket was now closed. 3 months of support tickets back and forth "Oh we'll look into it." "Our developers have found the issue and are working on it" Just to get a "We were unable to replicate the issue on our end, you're out of luck".

I've asked for a full refund of the product at this point now they deny the issue being fixable, I doubt that I'd be honored one due to the time passing. It breaks the workflow of the entire way I work with my computer, so what other options do I have to possibly fix the laggy profile switching?

After some digging around in the code, I was able to find that synapse uses a timer for checking if the foreground program has changed, which defaults at 500ms. Changing this hard coded value to 1.0 and recompiling it, profile switching is near instant and doesn't suffer from ghost clicks anymore.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro. I use a Tartarus V2. Synapse 3 is required to use it. Synapse 3 is a hot pile of garbage. My profiles randomly go missing with relative frequency. The tray icon says a profile is selected, but if I open synapse, the keymap is default and there are no profiles in the list to be selected.

Well you could use the Synapse software to assign lighting profiles to hotkeys, that's what I do. It is literally a function to program when you select keyboard on top. This also gives you the posibility to associate profiles to programs. It's really easy!

Open Synapse. On the top bar select keyboard. Select customize one bar below keyboard. Select a key you don't use and press it on the virtual keyboard on-screen. On the left side a list to reassign that key to different things appears. Select switch lighting profile and select the profile you wish to assign to this key. Repeat this proces on other keys with different profiles. For example you can use numpad numbers. Just don't forget that key loses it's functionality other then switching lighting profiles.

First things first, I dont know if it's correct to post here because the problem is mainly Razer, so I am sorry if I'm in the wrong atm.

I bought a Razer Death Adder Elite yesterday, and downloaded Razer Synapse (v. 2.0 because I am using OSX (10.14)). I made some profiles for Chrome, Photoshop and Minecraft. These are also linked to the applications, so whenever I use Photoshop my mouse switches over to the shortcuts there, and the same with Chrome. However, on Minecraft the switch does not happen. I have tried to link the profile to the minecraft app itself, and also the launcher, but with no result. I found out that the problem might be the external program Minecraft opens in after launch, which is only called "java", and located in the "runtime" folder i Application support.

If any of you have experience with the Razer part, Im gladly to hear as Im desperate for a fix. However my question which is more Minecraft related is: is it possible to change the filename of the "java" (which is basically "Minecraft"? I have also tried keeping the launcher open while game is running, but no result. Second question is, can I use some arguments under launch options to maybe fix this?

Both switch types are perfect for the low-profile ergonomics of the DeathStalker V2 range, with their slim design allowing the keys to sit lower on the keyboard baseplate for more natural hand and wrist position. As a result, gamers will experience minimal wrist fatigue even with long hours of usage, without a wrist rest.

I bought a Scimitar Pro and love it so far, I only have one problem. With all my other linked programs, iCUE switches fast and reliably, but when I open World of Warcraft, the mouse just stays on the previously active profile.

Any idea why it won't switch? I'm playing on an earlier version of WoW, so the linked .exe is over a decade old and 32bit, but that shouldn't matter, right? Linking to another .exe in a working profile also doesn't work.

Oops, that wasn't very clear. So the automatic profile switch works for example for Battlefield. When I start the game, the mouse switches from my standard profile to the Battlefield profile. When I change the linked .exe in the Battlefield profile to the one of WoW, it will not switch when I start WoW. I just wanted to rule out that I made a mistake somewhere in setting up the profile.

I do hope future iCUE releases have a title match mode or similar so we can broaden the profile specificity in case we want to have one profile apply to more than one application and that might also cover cases like this or when running windows XAML apps rather than executable programs.

This is accurate. The only reason why iCUE isn't changing your profiles is because its not detecting the proper .exe in the foreground. There has to be an additional file that WoW is linking to for the application. I would contact Blizzard Support to see where that file is if you can't find the .exe in the build folders.

I'm still using CUE 2.24 and not planning on changing anytime soon, but I have a similar problem. CUE works fine with the current version of WoW, but it doesn't recognize when I play Vanilla WoW. Both profiles are pointing to the same-named executable (in different directories), but Vanilla isn't recognized. Granted, I haven't spent much time tracking this down, but I wanted to throw my experience into the ring.

This happens because of Razr's mouse and keyboard software that allows you to designate profiles for key bindings. The profile that is being used is displayed in green text in the corner of the screen on when logging in.

Definitely Razer's Synapse software telling you which profile is currently active, as it starts on login, it pop's up on login. It also shows up on profile changes e.g. when you have profiles for different applications, it pops up every time you change to those applications.
Very annoying behaviour and I'd love to find a way to disable that crap (maybe an empty name works, otherwise there's always Controller Mate)

All time, when i turn on my computer i need to go in profile Razer > Mixer until option of the setup THX to change default audio. The time of my computer is on, audio stay stable and fuctional. Under the calibration option. I hope Microsoft fixes this fast.

Razer is among the most popular peripheral manufacturers for PC gamers. The company also ships the Razer Synapse suite, which can be deployed to personalize the experience of accessories like mice and keyboards. We'll take a quick look at how you can get started with the software and set up new profiles.

Great! We're now good to go. One thing you will need to decide on as we mess around with settings and whatnot is whether you'll want to create a Razer Account. Doing so will unlock cloud-saving functionality, allowing you to log into your Razer Account on another PC and pull down these profiles we'll have set up. It's not mandatory, but is handy if you switch between computers.
