to Where are Your Keys?
I teach at a school in Roseville, CA.  Our students study the Maidu as part of their history units and visit the Maidu Interpretive Center here in town.  Next school year we are starting a program where we are dividing all of our students up into villages to teach growth mindset and behavior essential skills.  We would like to name these villages based on Maidu translations of skills we are teaching.  Do you know of a way I could get the following list of words translated?  We would like to honor the Maidu in our community by integrating them into our lessons.  Thank you!!!
  1. Perseverance /Initiative (1)

  2. Mission/Vision (2)

  3. Prioritize/Plan/Schedule/Discipline (3)

  4. Balance/Compassion/Considerate/Empathy (4)

  5. Listening/Perspective/Empathy/Respect (5)

  6. Teamwork/Synergize/Humble/Humility (6)

  7. Balance/Meaningful/Purpose (7)

Kimberly have you checked with the Maidu themselves? They’re quite active in the area.

Interpretive centers are rarely run by the groups they 'interpret' . Auburn Rancheria is Maidu. Many native speakers.
