Campaign is the main gamemode in the game. There are currently 200 levels in the game. Early levels will have 5 waves, 7 waves, and then 9 waves. Levels can have a total of 10 waves, which, all waves have after the first few levels.

On levels 100 and above, levels will get drastically harder. Players will be hit with traps from Galaxy Skins, some enemies will have a constant shield that will only be deactivated for a short time, other enemies will have a freezing effect which will stop one from shooting for a few seconds, others can teleport, and some will shoot warheads when they die.

Endless mode, true to its name, is a version of Campaign, but has endless waves. Boss will appear every 10 waves, but sometimes they will appear on a wave that ends with the number 5 (e.g. wave 45). Before bosses appear in this mode, the player can watch an ad that gives them a random booster to help them kill the boss. The player can refuse to spin it, and the wheel will not appear on every boss wave, but only the first few. Endless mode will end when the player reaches a certain milestone for waves required (e.g. wave 50), or when they die. Players in endless can start with boosters, just like in Campaign, and they will have 3 lives. Losing one will halve one's power/bullet level, unless if they have the expert item Power Saver on their ship they were using when they lost a life and it activated.

Boss Mode is a gamemode where the player only fights bosses. They cannot start with boosters (including starting with different spaceships) and will start at max bullet power. There are currently 50 bosses. Bosses will appear every 4 after the last one (e.g. level 4, 8, 12, etc.).

Each planet is harder than the last. Players have 30 seconds to finish each wave, and if they don't, all alive aliens will be buffed, and they will be given a special ability. In some waves/levels, objects will be thrown from the left and right side of the screen. (e.g. In Terra, they are meteorites, and in Void, they are chunks of ice.) On the last wave, when there are only a few aliens left, they will travel to the center of the screen and will perform a "ritual", and will spawn a boss. This can be prevented if the player uses the explosion made when they use the second life of the Legendary spaceship, which will kill the aliens before they can spawn the boss. The 30 second timer will disappear during the boss fight. They can also just kill the aliens very fast, givng them no time to summon the boss.

PVP is a gamemode where players will race others and complete waves before their opponents do. There are five different PVP gamemodes, which are 1v3 (aka. 1v1v1v1), 2v2, 1v1, Survival, and Arena. In solo and arena, they have 3 lives in each match. Losing one will halve their power/bullet level, unless if they have the expert item Power Saver on their ship they were using when they lost a life and it activated. However, in arena, they have 3 lives. Losing a match will take away 1 life, and if they lose all 3, they are out. In all modes (Except Survival), the first team/player to reach a total of 50 waves will win. They will also win if their opponent(s) dies, or if they get a 6 wave lead ahead of their opponent(s). Players can also use galaxy or predator skins to attack their opponents, giving them a better chance to win.

A player can spin a wheel that gives them prizes. They will get a free spin every hour. They will have to watch an ad afterwards, and then they will have to pay 6,000 gold per spin. A player can spin the wheel a total of 10 times per day.

Chests can be opened by the player for valuable items, such as evolve stones and legendary tokens. The player can open chests to level up said chest (except the Hextech Chest). The higher the level, the better the rewards. There are currently 3 chests:

Matrix is a system where the player will get a random item from the 3x3 grid. The cost is a Matrix Ticket or 20 crystals. These items can be pieces of Expert Items or ship skins. They can also be evolve stones. There is also a separate button which does 10 turns in quick success, as a QoL option. However, the player will get a 10% discount for crystals needed, meaning doing 10 turns will cost 180 crystals if they do them all at once.

Traps will sabotage a player's opponent(s) in PVP. They can be used with Galaxy and Predator Skins. They will also appear in Campaign mode past level 100. There are currently 18 offensive traps and 1 defensive "trap", with the defensive one being Predator Legendary.

Aliens assaulted the Earth. Despite all the human efforts to resist monster invasion, the blood-thirsty creatures keep occupying new territories. Theseus, the hero of this game, arrived in a small European town and got into the very middle of such a battle. Of course Theseus immediately joins the fight against the aliens.

4. Machine Gun: Fast ROF weapon. Each damage does the same amount as the shotgun(Wow! 3 weapons that do the same damage!) and is as accurate as the revolvers. Effective at close range. It's good for both large crowds AND tough enemies. It also carries alot of ammo.

5. Rocket Launcher: Launches rockets that appear as smoking fireballs. It does way more damage than the 3 musketeers above and especially the revolvers. It also makes a big explosion which makes it very effective against large crowds of both weak enemies and weaker armored infantry. The high damage also makes it effective against weaker armored infantry, but not the heavier ones(with lasers).

6. Ion Cannon: This is the most powerful weapon in the game. It's not quite as powerful as the Magma Minigun, but it's like the flamethrower with range. It's effective against EVERYTHING! As soon as you get this gun, the campaign mode gets way easier. Twice the damage as the rocker launcher, fire rate of the machine gun, and explosion radium of the grenade launcher makes this one beast of a weapon. Shoots blue ion bolts that trail.

Survival mode in this game is in a field. There are some features, such as burrows on the top-left, trees on the top-right, a cabin on the bottom-right, and a truck with exploding canisters on the bottom-left. Survive mode in this game is harder because instead of getting a machine gun from the blue walker, you get a grenade launcher; instead of getting a plasma rifle from the blue spider, you get a machine gun; and instead of getting a flamethrower from the blue armored walker, you get a rocket launcher. And the ion cannon is not quite as powerful as the magma minigun.

Bionicle Heroes is a 2006 video game published by Eidos Interactive and TT Games Publishing and based on Lego's Bionicle line of constructible action figures. The game was released in November 2006 on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, GameCube, Microsoft Windows, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS; a Nintendo Wii version was later released in April 2007. The home console and PC versions were developed by Traveller's Tales, while Amaze Entertainment developed the handheld versions. A version of the game for mobile phones, developed by Universomo, was also released. The home console and PC versions of the game are third-person shooters, while the Game Boy Advance version is a run 'n' gun shoot 'em up and the Nintendo DS version is a first-person shooter. The story of Bionicle Heroes, where the player seeks to liberate the island of Voya Nui and its inhabitants from the villainous Piraka, is not canon to the official Bionicle story.

Development for Bionicle Heroes began in 2005. Initially, the home console version was set to be a first-person shooter, but concerns over the game's potential Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating led it to be shifted to a third-person perspective. The Nintendo DS version marked the first first-person shooter released on the platform since Metroid Prime Hunters earlier that year. The home console version received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the humour but found the gameplay to be simplistic and repetitive. The Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS versions received more favorable reviews, being compared favorably to the Contra series and Metroid Prime Hunters, respectively.

The home console version of Bionicle Heroes is a single-player third-person shooter. The game is split up into six different elementally-themed worlds as well as a central hub world where the player can purchase upgrades and bonus content.[1] After defeating a Piraka at the end of a world, they move to the Piraka Playground in the hub world. The player can use their collected Lego pieces to purchase comical cutscenes of the villains engaging in "tomfoolery".[2] Three bonus levels are also unlockable, functioning as score challenges where the goal is to defeat as many enemies as possible.[2] The game features 100 collectibles to collect, and each level also contains silver and gold canisters that unlock new items in the hub world's trophy cave.[3] Completed levels can be revisited in a free play mode, where the player can find additional items and collectibles.[3]

On most versions of the game, the player controls the playable Toa character using a controller. On the Nintendo Wii version of the game, control of the camera is instead accomplished through the Wii Remote's IR sensor.[4] The player begins each level with a single mask, with additional ones scattered throughout the level. These masks provide the player with a variety of weapons and abilities, ranging from sniper rifles to shotguns. The active mask can be togged between by the player at any point.[1] If a player's health is reduced to zero, they lose the mask they were wearing.[3] The player can interact with the environment, performing actions similar to how the Force operates in the Lego Star Wars games.[2]

Defeating enemies scatters them into Lego pieces, which can be collected and used in the hub world. Additionally, collecting them adds to the in-game Hero Mode gauge, which activates when completely filled. While in Hero Mode, the player becomes invincible to any damage.[2] This lasts until the player reaches a set point in the level that requires the player use up their Hero Mode charge to activate objects used to progress throughout the level.[4] Hero Mode is also used in boss battles, with the player targeting smaller enemies to build up the gauge to activate a powerful attack against the boss.[4] The game uses an auto-targeting feature that automatically locks on to enemies. This feature only works at certain distances, and will not activate if the player is too close or too far away from an enemy.[1]
