Hi Adam,

I have an issue I wanted to raise about configuring the stimulation channels. I have a single output channel that I want to set high (5v) when I start the recording and set back low when I finish recording.

I set up everything fine, and setting high when I start recording works alright. However, I don't know exactly how long the recording will last, so I let it run for a very long time and terminate it manually when I'm done. The problem is that the stimulation channel remains high after the manual termination, and in order to set it back to low I have to reissue a command for it to go to 0 (either through matlab or by reconfiguring the stimulus channel to output a 0v square pulse, and running the recording again). Is there any way I can tell the software to set all stimulus channels to 0 or some other value on termination?

Thanks,
Yishai

Yishai,

Ach.  Yes, this was a known issue:

https://github.com/JaneliaSciComp/Wavesurfer/issues/194

Your e-mail prompted me to go ahead and fix it.  If you download the
latest version:

http://wavesurfer.janelia.org/releases/WaveSurfer-0.933.zip

it should be fixed.

(Be sure to delete any paths for older versions from your Matlab path.)

Hope this helps,
Adam

Hi Adam,

For some reason this mail hit my spam box and I didn’t see it until now. Thanks so much for fixing this issue! I’ll check it out as soon as I can.
