The Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2011-12

CALL FOR ENTRIES

Population First is happy to announce the 4th edition of The Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity (LMAGS).

The LMAGS highlight, acknowledge and celebrate the commendable efforts by various media at providing gender-just perspectives, portrayals and analysis programmes, policies, social trends and behaviors. The awards are supported by veterans from the media fraternity who joined the campaign as jury members, performers, spokes persons and collaborators.

An entry to the LMAGS should emphasize or highlight one or more of the following:

Promote public awareness and understanding of gender issues.

Contribute to public benefit such as influencing policy or legislative change regarding issues related to women's rights/gender issues.

Show courage, originality and creativity in depicting/reporting gender issues.

Demonstrate accurate and balanced presentation of events/issues through a gender lens.

Entries are invited for Print/TV/Radio/OOH/Digital/Direct Mail under the categories of Services, Products and Public Services.

The Awards are open to all journalists, advertising professionals and media organizations
