Dear Friends,

Greetings from Digital Empowerment Foundation!

We are glad to share that soon we are going to launch an exciting new journey along with Vodafone Foundation and AAWC (Apne Aap Women’s Collective)– the Red Rickshaw Revolution! It will get launch in mid february.
RRR is conceptualized by Laura Turkington and her friend Carina Deegan to take on a journey from Delhi to Mumbai by an auto rickshaw in 9 days in March, celebrating wonderful women initiaves, with several stop overs to raise awareness and fund raising for the children of sex workers in Kamathipura Red light area where AAWC work for the benefit of the children of sex workers to get them a better life.
During the journey we would meet many Unsung Women heroes who have done extraordinary work even as ordinary women. One major reason of sharing this news with you is to seek your participation in 'Women empowerment Journey'. At this initial stage we are looking for the ‘ordinary women across the country doing extraordinary things’ in India.
We need your help to ensure that we are not missing any awe-inspiring women to meet and share their story with us.
If you know any women around you who you think has done extraordinary work, please let us know their contacts so that we bring them into the journey, meet them, recognise them and profile them as inspirational story.
More information on the same is attached
Looking forward to your participation/suggestions.

Thanks
DEF team
