Clearwater

training and events

Clearwater offers a number of capacity building initiatives that can help broaden your skills, knowledge and networks in integrated urban water management (IWM).

We are currently taking registrations for the following  seminars, workshops, networking events and site tours:

·         13 February: Innovation in the development sector– big ideas, new technologies, integrated design Join Clearwater and the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities for the Melbourne chapter of a national seminar series showcasing innovative development. Presenters Dr Josh Byrne (Josh Byrne & Associates), Rory Costelloe (Villawood Properties) and Dr David Bergmann (South East Water) will showcase integrated design solutions that deliver liveable green suburbs and connected communities to promote well-being.

·         18 February: Water Drinks Join your water colleagues for February Water Drinks at the Boat Builders Yard on the Yarra. Begin your 2019 networking over fine food and beverages and hear a quick update from DELWP on the changes to the Victorian stormwater policy framework.

·         4 March: How to engage productively- Workshop to unleash a culture of collaboration This workshop will increase your skills in facilitation, engagement and sharpen your influencing tactics to gain buy-in from your stakeholders and decision makers. It will explore the notion of Liberating Structures, a way of employing effective changes in the way we meet, plan, research, decide and learn together.

·         7 March: Zero Maintenance WSUD Tour – Manningham Council This tour will visit working ZAM (Zero Additional Maintenance) sites that are designed to integrate water quality improvement while minimising maintenance requirements. ZAM-WSUD is an exciting prospect for organisations who have avoided or struggled with Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) due to the challenges of maintenance. This ZAM-WSUD tour will visit four working ZAM sites - allowing plenty of time for presentation, questions and networking on conclusion of the tour.
