I checked a bit more, and it seems that there is a bug in the use of
start button for the stand alone mode. Basically, if I press start,
the stopwatch works, but the video is stuck. If I then press stop,
the video is played (but not clear at which speed), but the stopwatch
is not progressing.

More about this bug. I tried older videos and everything works fine. Newer videos are played correctly at thebeginning, but after some time (variable, between few seconds to few minutes) get stuck, and when pressing stop, they are played, probably at the speed of the normal video player. Even newer video, of HD quality behave from the beginning like that. My computer is good enough to play these videos under normal circumstances.

caused by start/stop button in stand alone speed and cadence listener not handling thread state properly. This is fixed.

However clicking stop again will toggle video playback.

Stop toggle is fixed by checking to see if video is running before pausing (issue with API). Fixed in 3.1.3
