Frame rates depend on 3 factors
i. the original recording speed ii. the frame rate of the video iii. the speed being ridden on the trainer
For example if someone records a video at 30kp/h at a frame rate of 30 fps and you are riding the trainer at 10kp/h (say up a hill with simulspeed on) you get a frame rate of 10 fps. Anything under 15fps will appear a bit jerky.
To overcome this some people film at 50 or even 60 fps. However if you are now going downhill at say 80kp/h and the video was recorded at 50 kp/h you will now be pushing 70-80 fps of HD video through your video card, you will need a high end graphics card to support that frame rate without dropouts.
If you have any specific examples that you are worried about let us know which video and where in the video you see issues.
