If anybody's interested, and we can't find a ride, it appears one can get one-way Greyhound tickets from Toronto to Buffalo for $14 ($20 refundable). This is an "Advance Purchase", so I don't know how long until the price goes up to the normal $40. There's a bus at 6:00 -> 8:30 on Saturday morning, and I suppose we'd have to take a taxi to the tournament.

As far as I can tell, "refundable" means refundable, so strategy would be to buy the $20 tickets and return them upon finding a ride.

Hey all,

I know this is last-minute, but if any of you are planning on going to SCG Buffalo, or had someone ditch on you, I would really like a ride.

I only plan on playing in the Standard portion, so if you plan on coming back Saturday night, awesome. If not, I have no problem hanging out with good friends for an extra day, provided I have some place to sleep.

The fact that I'm in Toronto kind of complicates things, but I'm sure we can work something out to make life easier for all of us.

Again, I don't expect a miraculous spot waiting for me or anything, but in the off-chance that someone you originally planned to go with can't make it, having me tag along would be better for everyone than splitting the car/gas/hotel cost among less people, right?

ah, that sucks. Khanh can only go Sunday/ I thought it was standard. I'm sure you can grab a ride. I just need to check with Khanh first. You can contact him directly too:)

Sunday is Legacy.  SCG Opens are always Standard Saturday, Legacy Sunday.  There are side-events though for people who don't play the respective formats; they posted a thread with all the details over on The Source (www.mtgthesource.com).

Alrite, so I have a ride for Saturday, so all is well on that front. Also, if someone has a Bonfire I can borrow for the event, that's be awesome. If you know me and trust that I won't mess with your card, you can either bring it to the event, or if you aren't going, give it to Colman to give to me at the event. I can get it back to him once Saturday's tourney is done, and he can return it to you the following week. Thanks in advance to anyone who can lend, and if you need something I happen to have, just ask. See (some of) you guys at Buffalo!
