As the title says, I need help with Watir podcast.

1) I could use a co-host. No podcasting experience required, just Skype (free), microphone (not free, but already there in lots of laptops) and 30-60 minutes. You will just ask questions, chat and stuff like that.

2) Somebody who will edit the audio. Not hard, but takes time. You need something like Audacity (open source). I would be glad to teach you all I know (not much, but enough).

3) The usual, questions for the guest. Next week I talk to Alister Scott (Wiki Master) and Aidy Lewis (Watir framework ninja). Do you have a question for them?

I'd be happy to co-host, not sure why you need it, you're a stellar host, but ping me.

Hey Zeljko!

I can help with anything you need - just shoot me an email. :)

I did have a question for Alister.....

- Should we continue just posting things to the wiki with our best
guess of where and how, or would he prefer that we run things by him
first?

Excellent! :)

Take a look at Watir podcast calendar and let me know if you can join me in any of the shows next week.

> not sure why you need it

As you know (but not many other people I guess) I listen to a lot of podcasts. I have noticed that the podcast is more interesting when there are two hosts and one guest. I have a lot of things to think about while recording (audio levels, questions I want to ask...). Sometimes I notice, when I listen to the show while editing, that I missed something my guest said, and what could lead the conversation in more interesting place. So, it would be good to have somebody that would just listen and ask those interesting questions.

Would you be interested in editing the audio?

Also, I am thinking about having only one co-host per episode, but there could be more of you co-hosting. For example, my guest any I select date and time that is good for the two of us (date and time is always published at Watir podcast calendar), and then one of the co-hosts says that it is good time for him or her and joins us for a show.

What do you think about the idea (and co-hosting)?

Great question! Will ask.

Note for Alister: do not answer here, but at the podcast. :)

Sure, I'll edit the audio.

I'll get Audacity installed and try to learn a bit on my own.

Your co-hosting idea sounds good. :)

There is nothing complicated to do. It just takes time. All you have to do is cut out my mistakes and stuff like that. :) I will send you a link to raw audio.

I am glad that you like it. I am recording with Aidy Lewis this Wednesday (October 8), 6pm – 7pm (utc+2). Anybody interested?

I can also help with editing the audio. That way one person wouldn't
be responsible for doing it every time.

I was just thinking should I ask for more help with audio editing, because it is really time consuming. :)

Excellent! I will send you the link to the raw audio via e-mail.

Hey there,

Glad to see so many joining in. :) I'm on vacation and haven't had the chance to check mail for the past week. I'm happy to help though. Let me know.

Would you have some time next week to co-host a podcast with Aidy?
