Some of our leaders seem to be bigger than life. This can come from fame or rank, character or respect, or from the prominence of the organization they lead. They ultimately have a commanding stature or persona. It may not only be people who make us feel this way. A leading company may have a commanding presence in their industry or region. Or, a football team, by their dominance in their physical effort or position, has been commanding when they have taken a significant lead in a game. Their play on the gridiron has been overpowering, and has overwhelmed their opponent. Another example is the United States Navy. They have Command of the Seas. A naval force has command of the seas when it is so strong that its rivals cannot attack it directly. To be a commanding presence is to possess or exercise controlling authority. From that position, a person or an organization will earn and deserve respect and admiration.

There are more practical and literal definitions of the word command that require discussion. A command is a directive or an order issued by one in authority or control of an organization. A command is a signal that initiates an operation defined by an instruction, and is an action or task performed in response. When we are given a command or task, we are expected to carry it out without fail. Our command performance is expected to be professional and complete.

When we talk about Command Performance, we are obviously talking about many things. No matter if we are the leader, or the one being lead, we are always on stage, and we are always performing. And, no matter what our work or role happens to be, we always have an audience that we are performing for; our company, our customers, our peers, our family, our country, etc. The way in which we function (or perform) will either earn us a command performance, or will get us thrown out of the theater. We need to command our performance to be successful.

Is there any source or calculator to give an approximate performance metrics of data loading into Redshift tables based on number of columns and rows so that I can decide whether to go ahead with splitting files even before moving to Redshift.

An occasion that one is obliged to attend, as in My boss's invitations to dinner are always a command performance. This term originally (late 1800s) denoted a theatrical or musical performance presented at the behest of a sovereign or head of state. By the 1930s it was also used figuratively for any more or less obligatory occasion or performance.

Army Units in Alaska and the Panama Canal Zone were dispersed in a series of tiny, isolated outposts far from the central command structure. Many of these outposts were too small to support complex short-wave transmitting and receiving equipment. However, consumer-grade radio receivers were rugged enough for home use and seemed easily adaptable for field use. This would only provide one-way communication between Commanders and the troops in the bush, but it was better than nothing. To help boost the morale of the soldiers at the isolated outposts (and to help ensure that they maintained the equipment for use), the local headquarters began playing recorded music over their local networks.

Command Performance is the second episode of the first season of The Orville. The Captain and First Officer vanish during a visit to the USS Blériot and it is up to Lieutenant Alara Kitan, as acting commander, to find them.

The USS Orville receives an emergency distress message from the USS Blériot, which has been attacked by the Krill. The ship is battered but the passengers and crew are alive; to Captain Mercer's surprise, his parents are on board. Mercer and First Officer Kelly Grayson go to the Blériot via shuttle. With Bortus on leave, Chief of Security Alara Kitan is left in command of the Orville.

The bridge is in chaos, frantically searching for the missing commanders. Kitan panics and runs to Bortus's quarters for guidance. Bortus tells her that she must find them, but that he cannot leave his egg to help. "I will not risk the life of my child," he concludes.

Time goes on and repairs are completed. Kitan follows Tucker's orders to return to Earth, and the missing commanders will be considered lost in the line of duty. The Orville's crew strongly objects but Kitan is unmoved.

Safe on board the Orville, Mercer awards Kitan the Sapphire Star for her exemplary leadership. At a celebratory party, the Captain and First Officer promise to play office politics with Planetary Union Central to spare Kitan any severe punishment. Kitan reveals to Newton and others that she offered archives of reality television from 21st century Earth in exchange for Mercer, Grayson, and a small child the commanders found imprisoned in the zoo.

Abstract:
The terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 on the Pentagon brought death and destruction to one of the nerve centers of American power, a site where top military officials came to work every day. When terrorists deliberately crashed a commercial jetliner into the southwest wall of this giant government landmark, it rendered a large portion of the building unstable and started a ferocious fire inside, where--rescuers hoped--Pentagon workers might be trapped but still alive. Despite the serious nature of the attack, the emergency response to the disaster was led by neither a high political official nor a four-star general. Instead, remarkably, the response and rescues at the Pentagon were led by James Schwartz, the assistant chief of a county fire department in the State of Virginia. A few hours into the emergency, Schwartz was, in fact, introduced to US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld as "the man who owns this ground" by one of Rumsfeld's own generals. This case describes the unprecedented emergency response operation and many of its key turning points and places it within the broader context of a national system in which authority is widely decentralized. Specifically, the case tells the story of how the Arlington County, Virginia Fire Department used the "incident command system" to oversee the Pentagon emergency response and how it responded when the professional mandates of far higher-profile agencies--including the Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Environmental Protection Agency--collided with those of the firefighting and rescue effort. Despite years of practice and preparation, fire officials would face a string of predicaments at the Pentagon emergency that had never been foreseen.

Learning Objective:
The case can serve as a platform for discussion about inter-jurisdictional cooperation in emergency response and, by extension, cooperation across units of government in a wide variety of situations. At the same time, it allows for discussion of the specifics of incident command in one of the highest-profile emergency response situations in American history.

This is an earlier model Command performance, you can tell by the fact the "tail" of the body is more pointed than later produced Command Performance pens. The same is true on Gold Award (gold filled) pens as well.

Sub note 2: The gold's thickness was measured at the neck of the body, where the plug inserts. When you neck down a tube, the walls become thicker than the main body. As such, the main body probably is about (purely a guess) 10 thousandths of an inch (10/1000 inch thick). Keep in mind the cousin of the Command performance, the "Gold Award" is rolled Gold, which is stated to be 1/10th of the total weight of the body of the tube. The minimum standard for Gold filled is 1/20th of the total weight of the body (not including, sac, plastic pieces, lever, presser bar, etc).

Peony Command Performance is indeed a regal and commanding flower, exuding an aura of elegance and beauty. Its majestic presence and striking flame-red color make it a true standout in any garden or floral arrangement. One of the notable features of Command Performance is its sturdy and robust stems, which provide excellent support to its large and heavy blooms. This ensures that the flowers remain proudly upright, making them perfect for showcasing in floral arrangements or as a proud centerpiece in your summer garden. What makes Command Performance even more intriguing is its ability to change colors as it matures. When the blooms first unfurl, they display rich and vibrant deep red petals that immediately command attention. The initial color is intense and bold, creating a striking visual impact wherever it is planted. However, as time progresses, an enchanting transformation takes place. The crimson hues gradually soften and shift, transitioning into delicate shades of pink. The vibrant red petals gracefully fade away, unveiling a charming and subtle blush that adds an extra layer of allure to the peony's beauty. This stunning color metamorphosis brings an element of surprise and intrigue to Command Performance's display, showcasing an ever-changing palette of colors throughout its flowering period. Whether in its early stages of vibrant red glory or in its later stages of soft and elegant pink splendor, Peony Command Performance never fails to captivate and inspire with its evolving colors. It serves as a testament to the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of nature itself, allowing you to witness the joy of a living work of art unfolding before your very eyes. Embrace the beauty and fascination that Peony Command Performance offers as it enchants you with its captivating color journey.

If you are passing to stats or timestats, then you should NOT limit with fields because thise commands have the same byproduct as fields so you are doing the same work (time,CPU) twice with almost no benefit. If you are passing to transaction than there most definitely benefit because you will be saving gobs of RAM and transaction is a RAM-intensive command (so much so that it is not uncommon for it to consume all available memory and return incomplete/inaccurate results).
