Hi guys,
there are two more things id like to ask (and they are quite obvious
from the message subject), because i haven't been able to find the
answer in any previous post.

1) handling the dialog for a file download. I know such a dialog is
availible in the old watij, but so far is missing in the Web Spec. So
are you planning on adding it in future or is there another
possibility to handle a file download with the Web Spec ?

2) the login dialog. When i want to connect to some https site, im
usually asked to provide the login information (username/password)
with the login dialog. Is there, or will there be a way to get pass
this one?
As I found out, there is a possibility to edit the windows registry,
to allow you to add the login info directly into url. But that's
obviously not the safest way :)

I'm assuming these two things are quite browser dependent, so not
exactly easy to implement (if even possible). But wanted to ask, so
thx for any info.

Regards

Peter

Support for file download dialog should be coming soon...and you are
right that it's a little tricky since it's different per browser, per
version, per os...lot's of combinations. We will probably support
Windows first for IE and Mozilla like we did for the File upload
dialogs in the latest release.

For the login dialog would you mind sending a link to a site that
represents what you are trying to automate...thanks,

Brian

Ok, well this is not a https site, only http, but it has the login
dialog i had in mind - the protocol is inferior i guess.

Jmeno uzivatele: ebookz
heslo: n2ptsd75f98ej

its just an e-books archive, so hopefully safe to provide login
info ;)

Thx

Thanks for sending the link...I went ahead and committed preliminary
support for the login dialog. It appears that it's only working in
Mozilla right now on Windows and Mac...I have sent a request to
TeamDev to fix the issue in the other browser types. Here is an
example of its usage:

spec.record.login().set.username("ebookz").set.password("n2ptsd75f98ej").ok();
spec.open("http://ebookz.sign.sk/CS/PalmBookz_Mirror/");

Please get the latest from svn at https://watij.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/watij/watix/

I will let you know when support for IE and Safari is
available...thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian,
couldn't get to try it until now, but login works great (under windows
XP, mozilla), so thanks for such quick fix. Awesome work ;)
