The King of Highhills becomes fascinated by a flea, which he hides in his room as a pet. It grows gigantic under his care. When it dies, the King decides to skin it. His daughter Violet tells him she wants to be married, so he offers her as a bride to whoever can guess from what beast the skin was taken, believing no one can do so. However, an ogre correctly identifies the hide by smell. Violet is horrified, but her father says he can not go back on his word. Violet goes through with the marriage but says her father never loved her. The ogre takes Violet to his cave, where she is kept prisoner. A family of acrobats helps her to escape, but the ogre gives chase and kills the entire family. He is mollified by Violet, who then slits his throat. Violet returns to the castle, where the King has grown ill and reveals she has the head of the ogre, the husband he "chose" for her. The King falls to his knees crying, and the courtiers follow suit. Violet, too, begins to cry.

We enjoyed spending time on the property as the pool, tennis courts and bicycle and walking trails give visitors an opportunity to get the kids outside and immerse themselves in this breathtaking countryside.
Just a short walk from ritzy Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure is the perfect base for families wanting to explore the Italian Riviera. Santa Margherita is a small port, fishing town and a popular resort with Italians. Its shingled shoreline boasts a couple of beach clubs, and the sea front is lined with cafes, restaurants and of course gelateries.
Santa Margherita is well serviced by public transport or families can drive from the closest airport at Genoa. To explore the Ligurian coast, visitors can walk to Portofino or take a day trip by train to the Cinque Terre. In summer, a ferry service hops along the coastal towns of the Italian Riviera. After spending a week in Santa Margherita, visitors will return home with that la dolce vita aura Italians are famous for.

Despite being completed in 1218, the interior was anything but medieval. Lavish Baroque decor met us the moment we walked in. A renovation in the 1700s brought bold ornamentation to every aspect within its hallowed walls. The level of artistry and detail was awe-inspiring. Among the finest in South Tyrol. The high-ceiling paintings by the renowned Matthäus Günther alone are worth a visit to this church.
You can walk the monastery grounds without a tour guide; however, certain buildings will be off limits such as the winery production area. There is enough worth seeing without a formal tour in our opinion. Have a great visit!
At first this got me annoyed shouts from nearby windows, then glares, and eventually they got no response at all. The streets I was walking were narrower and narrower, and the houses and buildings next to me seemed to get taller with each turning I made, their previously vibrant colors muted under the cloudy sky. The afternoon was completely silent.
I visited several Greek islands this past September. My least favorite was Mykonos. I did not like the crowds, the service or the commercialism. I felt rushed wherever I went to eat and could not fully relax even on a beach. The store merchants were at times rude if you visited their store and walked out without making a purchase. For example, I was shopping for a bathing suit when the owner/salesperson approached me and tried to sell me a bathing suit that I could not try on. When I decided not to purchase the item the woman literally told me to leave her store. I was totally taken back by her actions and left without a word because I realized she was not worth my energy. This is the most striking experience had on the island. All other islands that I visited were much more welcoming. I would never return to Mykonos. I would revisit Paros, Andros and Hydra. The kindness and beauty of the islanders provided a much more positive experience.
