Here’s info from the Recreation Department. Note the next to last entry about dog park. Let’s keep up the pressure for the promised state of the art dog park at the Grove Street entrance to Filipello Park. Another Winter gone by, but Spring is sure to come and planning is key.
And let’s let them know that we need a direct entrance to the How Park Dog Park on Bacon Street now instead of relying on a neighbor to plow a path from the current entrance all the way across the park to the gate. Perhaps write to Peter Centola at Recreation; Gerry Mee at DPW; Mark Sideris, Town Council President; Aaron Dushku at Public Works Subcommittee; Lisa Feltner at Public Safety Subcommittee.
Do you know that we have 900 licensed dogs in Watertown and that the assumption is that there are 900 X .372 more unregistered (from Karen O’Reilly, Animal Control Officer). Quite a large dog constituency.
Enjoy the snow. Barbara
