Hello Space Society,
My name is Roger Wilkinson and I'm the newly elected President of the space society for the spring 2013 term. The Waterloo Space Society works to promote interest in space exploration, physics, engineering, and generally speaking, all things spacey. You do not have to be an expert in any of these areas to be a member. Anyone with even a mild interest in space is welcome in the society.
I would like to welcome all of our new members to the society and I hope to meet many of you at our events throughout the summer. This term is going to be a re-building term for the space society, and with many senior members leaving or taking on less involved rolls within the society, we are looking for fresh and enthusiastic new faces for our executive team. If you love space and have been looking for an opportunity to get involved with a university club then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. We currently have unfilled positions for treasurer and events coordinators. For more information, I highly suggest attending our spring general meeting taking place on Tuesday May 21st beginning at 6 pm. (see attached flyer).
For those who are interested in being part of the executive group, but can't make it to the general meeting, please feel free to contact me via email and we'll see what we can do to get you involved.
I hope to see all of you on Tuesday night to kick off what should be a great summer with the space society.
Sincerely,
Roger Wilkinson
Waterloo Space Society President
