Dear water justice friends,

We are excited to share the news that t TNI and partners have launched
the People’s Vote for the Transformative Cities Award 2019!

After a long process of evaluating all the initiatives in the Atlas of
Utopias <https://transformativecities.org/atlas-of-utopias/>by a diverse
group of practitioners and experts
<https://transformativecities.org/about-the-atlas-of-utopias-2019/evaluators-team/>,
three transformative initiatives for each category (water, energy,
housing and food systems) have been selected as the top 12 finalists
nominated for the Award.

On water,  Eau de Paris delivers cheaper, cleaner water (Paris, France),
‘Our Water Our Right’ campaign (Lagos, Nigeria), Movement against water
privatization (Jakarta, Indonesia) are finalists!

Check out the finalists here (water, energy, housing, food system),

We believe these transformative stories of change will help promote the
idea that although we are living in complex times full of anxieties,
people powered alternatives tackling injustice and climate-change do
exist.  Another world is not only possible, it is already happening.
Together we can show how!

The winning initiatives from each of the four different categories will
be invited to an international conference* in Amsterdam on the 4th of
December. They will be included in a series of webinars, where the
initiatives themselves will exchange ideas, practices and struggles,
strengthening the networks and solidarity among the different
transformative movements and collectives around the world.

We thank you for your participation

please share it to your friends, networks and collectives.

they deserve.
