FAULT
Overreaching at the Catch occurs when the body keeps moving over the
knees in a general downward trajectory (similar to the Hunched Catch
fault as seen at this link http://www.watercoach.com/home/technique_module/hunched_catch.htm
). This can result in using the shoulders and upper body to initiate
the Catch as they open back to a more upright position. This will lead
to poor use of the legs (hence a weak and inefficient start of the
Drive) as well as extra strain on the lower back.

CORRECTION
Aim to adopt the Catch position of the upper body and shoulders during
the Rock Over phase http://www.watercoach.com/home/technique_module/rowing_action.htm
. Once you start the Recovery phase the upper body and shoulders do
not alter in position as you move forward and reach the Catch position.
