Moderation on Google groups

Hi Barbara,

I've been surfing around some other groups here on Google and I see a
lot of the same spam problems that we had on the Yahoo group. Are
there settings that allow you to moderate the posts of new "members"
here like there are on Yahoo, so we can delete the junk before it
reaches the forum?

Hello everyone,

To ensure everyone's security, there is an automatic "screening" of all potential list members and then they are approved.  If, when filling out the information to become a member, it is left blank or there is not adequate information, then that member will have a moderated post.

So, we are protecting this group with a vengeance.

I had a wonderful post this morning from a woman who joined the Yahoo group in 2000 and has gone on to have three waterbirths.  I asked her to post her story for everyone to read.

Everyone, to date, has been approved for full posting privileges.

So, happy posting.
