Thank you Barbara for the invitation. Hello all. My name is Kachina
K'ang and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I own a labor tub business that I
started 4 years ago. Until recently, I have mostly set up for
homebirths but thanks to April Kermani, CNM, Barbara Harper, Kim
Trower, Doula and Anne Swanson, Hynobirthing Educator one of our local
hospitals is now accepting waterbirth.

I began my journey 5.5 years ago when I wanted a VBAC in las vegas and
wound up having a WHBAC in my living room in Issaquah, WA. I utilized
a service called Labor Tubs North West and was just thrilled with the
service. When we moved back to Las Vegas I started working as a doula.
I mentioned to one of my clients that I would love to be able to
provide the same type of service I had in Las Vegas but I didn't have
the money for the start up costs. They were wonderful enough to lend
it to me and give me the opportunity to give S. Nevada residence 24
hour full service....set up and take down.

I am a true believer in laboring and birthing in water and couldn't
imagine birthing any other way. Thank you Barbara for being such an
advocate and pioneer!!!

I'm Kya, owner of the empoweredchildbirth.com website. My waterbaby
was born back in 1998 and I've been advocating waterbirthing for those
who'll listen ever since. Thanks for the invitation Barbara!

expect to see a jump in membership soon.
