Hey Friends,

I hope everyone enjoyed the crazy day of weather.

Two things on the calendar but a lot of words.

Officer Elections and River Clean Up


Officer Elections (4/30 at 5:30pm)
  • We will be hosting officer elections Tuesday April 30th at 5:30pm at Tantra Coffee House (if the weather prevails on the outdoor stage near the back)
All Positions are up for Election
All positions will be available for election - If you have any questions please inquire by email or in person or call/text Nathan Hartman (281-755-9980)

If you cannot attend the elections but would still like to run for a position please email Nathan Hartman at nh1...@txstate.edu a breif bio about yourself and why you feel you should be 'xxxxx' officer.

  • President
    • Help in General Direction of WaterAid
    • Work with other officers to obtain goals
    • Great Leadership Experience
  • Vice President
    • Help the with presidential duties
    • Aide in the direction of WaterAid
    • Great Leadership Experience
  • New Member Recruitment
    • Help Build  WaterAid Membership
    • Organize Social Events
    • Get the general word out about WaterAid and what we do
  • Flyer Guru (Promotional Expert)
    • Design Event and Meeting Flyers
    • Possibly Make Informational/Educational Literature
    • Post Flyers or Ask other members to post flyers
  • Contact Specialist
    • Talk with Potential Guest Speakers for WaterAid
    • Ask them to speak at meetings
  • Treasurer
    • Attend as many meetings as possible
    • Collect and Record Membership Dues
    • Have imput how WaterAid money is spent
  • Historian
    • Record (paint, pictures, drawings, ect) events
    • Update website and facebook (twitter? I personally dont know alot about that)
River Clean Up! (4/28) 
This river clean up is limited to 16 people (number of seats available) 
Other Water Crafts welcome.
What is It?  This we be a group of 16 individuals traveling down the San Marcos via Canoes rented from the Outdoor Recreation Center. We will pick up trash and recyclables along the way and dispose of them properly.
What will we do? We will have fun and get to hang out on canoes while cleaning up our incredible river. We are putting in at the Outdoor Rec Center and taking out at Pecan Park Retreat ( --  http://www.pecanparkretreat.com/sanmarcos.html ---) 
When and What time? Time is subject to change but as of now we will meet at the Outdoor Rec Center at 9am and put in the river no later than 10am. We should be back at the Outdoor Rec Center no later than 8pm
What do I need to do? Nothing. Email nh1...@txstate.edu that you plan on attending. Any Special Dietary Needs (some food will be provided)
How much does it cost? IT IS FREE! (Thanks to the Environmental Service Committee)
Where are we going?   Pecan Park Retreat http://www.pecanparkretreat.com/sanmarcos.html
What time will I be back? 8pm at the Outdoor Rec Center
