Dear colleagues,

We are recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow with a 24-month contract (applicants with PhD close to completion are welcome to apply) on geothermics at the Earth Sciences Department of Sapienza University. The project is funded by the European Union and the Italian Ministry of University and Research. The other project supervisors are Prof. Sabina Bigi and Prof. Marco Petitta.

The postdoctoral researcher will work on outcrop characterization using scanlines to inform DFN models of permeability. There will be the chance for the postdoctoral researcher to formally supervise MSc projects. New approaches to DFN characterization in the field and modelling (dfnWorks developed at Los Alamos National Lab, US) used by the project supervisors can be combined to publish original results.
