I only experience lag issues in the start when the shark is dropped into water, and the only problem I have with the touch controls is boosting. Sometimes the games think me tapping the screen to boost is me trying to get my shark to go in another direction, and once I release my "boost" finger my shark stops moving. It's frustrating, especially when having 16x multiplier or trying to dodge enemies that will kill me.
I can't find a good way to use the boost-ability. Need to press the screen with a second finger, but it seems difficult as it sometimes doesn't work and the screen gets too filled sometimes to see. The tilt-controls are terrible, can't use those, not accurate enough. You need to be able to hit some fish pretty accurately to eat them.
Also, I have problems with the touch controls, specifically the less analog stick not working properly all the times. Cant imagine playing this game on a smaller screen. My fingers on their now make it hard on my 4.5'' device.
Furthermore, if you buy the map, the game has about a 50% chance of crashing if you open the map, effectively making it useless. This alone will make this game a very difficult completion. Not be able to use the map is killed, especially further in the game when you must track down all 15 hidden objects in one life....
the only time i have seen the game lag is when i first start the game i am using a nokia 520, and then when i do the boost to get the missions done... other then that it works fine for me. i have the game on my windows 8.1 tablet it has no problems at all
I've had it crash when opening the map, although I never looked at the minutes played (>5) as the issue. Although that would make sense as I had some of the mini quests done and they would have taken some time.
Worse issue I've experienced so far, was playing as a maxed out Hammerhead, just finished last mission to unlock super mission, was already >100k and super mission didn't unlock. I think it told me I needed 1 million (and that would make sense as I was about 130k and it told me 13%), Then I died and when I tried to play again I played as a mako shark and everything in the game was program variables. I forget names but for example I was PLAYER1_SHARK. Turning off and on did not fix this, and I could not exit games or go to menu. After about 5 reloads of turning phone off and on, corrected itself but I lost all mission progress from shark I was working on and the previous 2. (yet my stats were the same)
It was a very frustrating experience for the last mission with Megaladon shark since it requires the map every now and then. After a couple of crashes when I had finished a number of missions, I decided to take a different approach by finding all the shells in one run, let it dies, then begin one mission or two, if they are simple enough and let the shark dies to save the game progress.
The most difficult ones for me are the 15 sunken objects and the 5 millions. You have to find an appropriate route and take advantage of the water current to survive. Being the biggest shark in the game makes it really difficult to navigate and your energy depletes really fast if you made a wrong move. The 5 millions was really intense for me since I occasionally hit by torpedo and helicopter while traveling across oceans hunting for pelicans on water surface and dive down to do gold rush and break the cages for new boats to spawn.
