The First Minister Peter Robinson's describedf the Northern Ireland
education system as a "benign form of apartheid" partly because
Catholics and Protestants are usually educated separately.
That would describe Catholic education all over the world. It would
describe Muslim education and Jewish education too. They're all a
breeding ground for intolerance and scepticism.
When your country goes to war, you don't want to shoot the friend you
sat next to in school, or his family. Mixed education has its
benefits.
