There are more and more attacks recently against the practice of
wearing full-face veils. In this incident, a bus driver kicked two
Muslim women off his bus for wearing them. It's an interesting
conundrum isn't it.

On the one hand, it's a big part of the suppression of women, and on
the other hand, many women want the right to use them, and see the
banning of them as an attack on their right to practice their
religion.
I often think that the reason so many Muslim women want the right to
wear them, even though it's a part of the suppression of women, is
because the more sincerity and enthusiasm they can embrace the
practice with, the more acceptance and respect they will get from
their fathers, other men, and their whole society, and, they hope, the
less violence they will be subject to.
