required user rights for watchdog

I have two networkshares, located on the same physical host but in different subfolders, which
are connected to my development PC via two different users. On one share,
watchdog works as expected, on the other it doesn't. My question is, could different
user rights be an issue here? What are the minimum rights needed in order for watchdog to work properly?
